How to Rearrange Pages in a PDF Using Acrobat 9

You can rotate all or just some pages in your PDF document. Rotation is based on 90° increments.
Open the Rotate Pages dialog and apply:

  1. Select Document > Rotate Pages.
  2. From the Pages panel options menu, choose Rotate Pages.
  3. Under Direction, select the number and directionof rotations you want to perform:
  • 90 degrees to the left
  • 90 degrees to the right
  • 180 degrees

For Pages, specify whether you want to rotate all pages, a selection of pages, or a range of pages.
In the Rotate menu, specify whether you want to rotate even pages, odd pages, or both, and select the orientation of the pages to rotate. Note: To temporarily change the view of the page, choose View > Rotate View > Clockwise or Counterclockwise.

The next time you open the PDF, the original page orientation will be restored and as a suggestion if you want to edit a PDF and you don’t have your PC at hand, you can use some mobile app .

Replace the Content of a Page

  • Open the PDFthat contains the pages you want to replace.
  • Select Document > Replace Pages.
  • Select the document that contains the replacement pages and click Select.
  • In Original, enter the pages to be replacedin the original document.
  • In Replacement, enter the first page of the replacement page range.
  • The last page is calculated based on the number of pages to replace in the original document.

How to renumber pages in a PDF or delete them?

The numbers on the document pages do not always match the page numbers that appear below the thumbnails in the navigation toolbar. Pages are numbered with integers , starting with page 1 for the first page of the document.

Because some PDF files may contain older content, such as a copyright page and table of contents, their body pages may not follow the numbering displayed in the page navigation toolbar. Note: Using the Number of Pages command affects only page thumbnails in the Pages panel. You can physically add new page numbers to a PDF using the headers and footers feature.

  1. Click the Pages button to open the Pages panel and choose Number of Pagesfrom the options menu.
  2. Specify a range of pages.
  3. Selecting the pages in the Pagination panel.
  4. Select one of the following options, and then click OK:
  • Start New Section Starts a new numbering sequence.
  • Choose a style from the pop-up menu and enter a home page number for the section.
  • Specify a prefix, if desired.
  • Extend the numbering used in the previous section to the selected pages.
  • Continues the numbering sequence of the previous pages without interruption.

How to Delete or Replace a Page?

You can replace an entire PDF page with another PDF page . Only the text and images on the original page are replaced. Interactive elements associated with the original page, such as links and bookmarks, are not affected. Similarly, bookmarks and links that may have been previously associated with the replacement page do not accumulate. Comments, however, are carried over and merged with any existing comments in the document.

After deleting or replacing pages, it’s a good idea to use the Reduce File Size command to rename and save the restructured document to the smallest possible file size. In this way it is very appropriate to have a program like this not only on the PC but also on the mobile phone .
